The Beatles 'White Album' 50th Anniversary - May-August 2018

The Old Market - BF - Theatre Seated Unreserved
Music

Released November 1968, two years ahead of schedule, 'The Beatles' offer a soundtrack to the Sixties. Soon re-christened "The White Album", this double album strains to contain its fragmentary splinters and spiky musicality. Marking a step change from the technicolor energy of Sgt. Pepper, and wrapped in a blank sleeve mark this progression, the album contains a chaotic panoply of songs and sounds including Back in the USSR, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Helter Skelter, Blackbird, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, Dear Prudence and more, predicting the fragmentary nature of the close of the decade.
